Stronger communities, shared future
Sustainability Team
After defining our Corporate Social Responsibility framework in autumn 2023, we focused on placing all our hotels on the path to Green Key accreditation.
This experience highlighted that lasting impact requires action in every role and at every level of our business. In November 2024 we therefore started appointing sustainability champions across Europe, representing every department.
Meeting monthly, these committed ambassadors have proved invaluable at identifying opportunities to embed simple responsible practices into daily operations. To help direct their focus, we introduced our E.A.R.T.H. acronym, to guide our actions across five focus areas:
- Empowering communities
- Advocating sustainable practices
- Respecting natural resources
- Transforming through teamwork
- creating Harmony through inclusive work environments
Hospitality that gives back
To make our sustainability values visible and interactive, in summer 2025 our Sustainability Team introduced a rolling calendar of Everyday EARTH Programme initiatives across our hotels and offices.
From supporting local causes to inviting participation in conservation efforts, the quarterly calendar of ideas and templates create opportunities for guests and teams to connect meaningfully with the communities around them.
Through these small, shared experiences, we reinforce our ambition to play an active role within every neighbourhood we operate and to contribute positively to the communities we’re part of.
Education & Training
We recognise that, to make a real difference, our teams need to understand how sustainability shapes the way we work and that everyone has a role to play – regardless of their location or level.
We therefore empower employees to see our sustainability efforts as a shared responsibility, where their energy, passion and ideas can shape change and create a ripple effect.
As part of this, since November 2025 our online sustainability training has been compulsory for everyone across our organisation, wherever they’re based across Europe. With guidance on how to incorporate everyday sustainable practices from energy conservation to food waste reduction, this is an important step to raising company-wide awareness so that we can inspire behavioural change with guests, colleagues and suppliers.
Every hotel also has a prominent QR code plaque signposting guests to where they can find more information about our sustainability efforts.
Sustainable sourcing
While the brands we work with typically offer limited food and beverage menus, where possible we encourage our hotels to partner with nearby producers and suppliers to showcase seasonal, locally-sourced or sustainable products that enhance the guests experience and help guests connect with the local area.
