Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that all procedures are followed according to certain standards. You check whether the crew carries out these procedures and other tasks in accordance with the regulations and you direct them where necessary. You are also the first point of contact for employees and new applicants, and make sure that they are well trained and have access to all necessary systems. By doing so, you strive for a professional appearance of the hotel, ensuring that the crew can perform their work properly and enjoyably.

Furthermore, you fully support the Hotel Manager (Captain) with financial and budget related tasks. Together you ensure that you are in line with the budget and forecast, and discuss sales strategies and rates for rooms. You also perform administrative tasks and ad hoc activities, such as checking invoices and solving guest issues.

You are part of the Management team, together with the Hotel Manager (Captain) and the Assistant Captain. Together you supervise the Crew Leaders and Crew Members.

For this position it is mandatory to have an eligible visa to work full-time in Germany: we do not sponsor visas for this role.

What is required?

• Minimum of 2 years of hotel managerial experience; front office experience is mandatory
• Experience and knowledge of marketing, social media and event organisation. Experience in working abroad is a plus
• Good understanding of computer handling (Opera, MICROS, Excel)
• Good command of the German and English language
• Strong communication skills
• Venturous, humble, helpful and approachable

Als Operations Manager bist du dafür verantwortlich, dass alle Arbeitsprozesse nach bestimmten Standards eingehalten werden. Du überprüfst, ob das Team diese Verfahren und andere Aufgaben vorschriftsmäßig ausführt, und weist sie bei Bedarf an. Du bist auch der erste Ansprechpartner für Mitarbeiter und neue Bewerber und sorgst dafür, dass sie gut geschult sind und Zugang zu allen notwendigen Systemen haben. Dabei sorgst du für ein professionelles Erscheinungsbild des Hotels und stellst sicher, dass das Personal seine Arbeit ordnungsgemäß und mit Freude verrichten kann.

Darüber hinaus unterstützt du den Hotelmanager (Captain) bei finanziellen und budgetären Aufgaben. Gemeinsam stellt ihr sicher, dass ihr das Budget und die Forecasts einhaltet, und besprecht Verkaufsstrategien und Zimmerpreise. Außerdem übernimmst du administrative Aufgaben und Ad-hoc-Tätigkeiten, wie die Überprüfung von Rechnungen und die Lösung von Gästeproblemen.

Zusammen mit dem Hotelmanager (Captain) und Assistant Captain bist du Teil des Managementteams. Ihr seid für die Schichtleiter und die Front of House Mitarbeiter verantwortlich.

Qualifikationen:

• Mindestens 2 Jahre Erfahrung im Hotelmanagement; Erfahrung im Front Office ist
• Erfahrung und Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Marketing, soziale Medien und Veranstaltungsorganisation.
• Erfahrung im Ausland ist ein Plus
• Gute Computerkenntnisse(Opera, MICROS, Excel)
• Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
• Ausgeprägte Kommunikationsfähigkeiten
• Entschlossen, bescheiden, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend
