Night Auditor

As Night Auditor , you are responsible for running the night audit and making sure that everything is in order for the morning crew. You work during the night and mainly help at the reception, but it is also possible that you support behind the bar and at the (breakfast) buffet.

You start your shift by checking guests in, answering emails and guest inquiries and running all the necessary reports to make sure everything is set for the night audit. In addition, you balance the days accounts and manage all bills and payments correctly. You also help cleaning, restocking and preparing the bar and lobby and manage the hotel room inventory for the next day. During the night audit, you conduct a security check to ensure that everything is in place and order and that no disturbance occurs in the hotel.

In the early morning, you prepare the incoming reservations for the day. You print all the necessary lists for housekeeping and breakfast, and you make an End Of Day report for the Assistant Hotel Manager (Assistant Captain). In this report, you give an update about things that happened during the night. After this, you help with preparing and serving the breakfast buffet and assist guests with checkouts. At the end of your shift, you hand over the work to the morning crew, informing them of any outstanding questions or remaining problems.
During the shift, you usually work with one other Night Auditor. In the morning, you hand over the shift to the Front Office Supervisor.

For this position it is mandatory to have an eligible visa to work full-time in Germany: we do not sponsor visas for this role.

What is required?

• Experience in hospitality is a plus
• Good knowledge of customer relations
• Good command of the German and English language

You will start your shift by checking in guests, answering emails and guest inquiries, and completing any necessary reports to ensure everything is prepared for the night’s audit. You will also close daily open accounts and correctly manage all bills and payments. You will also help clean, restock and prepare the bar and lobby and manage the inventory of the hotel rooms for the next day. During your shift, you will conduct a security walkthrough to ensure everything is in its place and in order and that there are no disturbances in the hotel.

In the early morning hours, you prepare the incoming reservations for the day. In this report, you report on what happened during the night. You then help prepare and serve the breakfast buffet and assist guests with checking out. At the end of your shift, you hand over the work to the morning shift and inform them of any outstanding questions and problems.

During the shift you will usually work with another night auditor. In the morning you will hand over the shift to the front office supervisor.
