Finance Trainee

Hotel Co 51 is a hotel management and development Company and operates hotels under franchise agreement with Marriott International in Europe.

The Dutch portfolio currently consists of 2 properties and a holding company. Our hotels are under the brands Moxy and Courtyard, operating in Utrecht and Amsterdam.

The Dutch Cluster Finance team seeks a student interested in interning in Amsterdam at our Hotel Co 51 head office, to assist and support the team of 2 associates.

Main responsibility and contents

Hotel Co 51 Netherlands Finance team oversees the finance, controlling and reporting of 2 hotels and 2 legal entities in the Netherlands in 360 degrees prospective: support to the daily operation of the hotels, assist in the opening phase for new projects, monthly reporting, forecasting & budgeting, deployment in the Netherlands of any new legal or operational standard requested by Hotel Co 51 Group or local regulation.

This position is planned as a half year to one year temporary contract with the possibilities of a contract extension based on future demand in our department and candidate performance.

In this internship position, you will assume learn and exercise the following tasks:

• Administration and drafting various reports
• Bank account posting/ reconciliation
• Reconciling AR Ledger accounts/ open item clearing
• Correspondence with customers
• Regular Credit collection / dunning activities
• Assisting on AP processes
• Credit card reconciliation

Skills required

• Basic knowledge in accounting and Excel
• Problem solving attitude
• Willing to learn and perform in shared service/ cluster structure for hotels in the Netherlands
• Good command of English language
• Venturous, humble, helpful and approachable
• Experience in hospitality is a plus
